Juliet Italian Kitchen: The Arboretum

Juliet Italian Kitchen, with locations in the heart of Austin’s beloved Zilker Park and Arboretum neighborhoods, is the ideal destination for anyone seeking a relaxed Italian experience for a date night, business lunch or casual weekend brunch. Managed by Veneto Hospitality, Juliet is a 6 year old brand that embodies community and camaraderie through offerings that boast traditional Italian flavors, comforting staple dishes, and well-rounded shareable meals with something for everyone. A nod to Shakespeare, Juliet’s original location replaced long-time institution, Romeo’s, on Austin’s original restaurant row.

Recalling their time spent in Italy, owners and long-time Austin residents Daniel and Donna Wilkins saw an opportunity in the local restaurant scene to develop an independent, neighborhood staple that would give guests an old-world Italian-American experience similar to New York’s Little Italy. With a team of hospitality industry veterans, the entrepreneurial duo conceptualized Juliet, with one main objective: Through every thoughtfully-crafted dish, welcome home all who dine at Juliet.

In 2021, Juliet opened its Arboretum location, serving central and north Austin neighborhoods. Both locations host walk-ins and reservations for lunch, dinner, happy hour and weekend brunch with an ambiance perfect for everyday dining or major celebrations. Embracing the ever-changing restaurant and dining experience, Juliet meets the community where they're most comfortable: in house, to-go and delivery, or even for special event catering.

Familiar Tastes
Juliet operates with all-day options of ultra-fresh antipasti including caprese bruschetta, family favorites like hand-tossed pizzas and 12-layer lasagna. The two-course prix fixe power lunch menu features lighter yet familiar options, allowing guests to dine quickly during the week or connect over conversation effortlessly, while daily happy hour features specials on drinks and antipasti selections. Weekend brunch on both Saturdays and Sundays encourages guests to unwind over a specialty menu featuring breakfast samplings such as the rich bread pudding French toast and the hearty breakfast panino or bite-sized, sharable offerings including a cheese and fruit board. Perfectly paired with mimosas or an Aperol Spritz brunch at Juliet’s is the best weekend getaway.

Juliet’s bar menu is nothing short of extensive, with a variety of Italian wines complemented by selections from France and California. The wine director and staff are approachable, knowledgeable and quick to make recommendations on their favorite picks of this ever-evolving, curated list. At Juliet’s bar you will discover a variety of fresh squeezed juices and produce to enhance the drinks modern craft cocktails and  Italian classics,  often with a unique Texas twist. A selection of Amaros and a wide variety of spirts round out this extensive bar program.

The elevated interiors showcase local art to bring the classics of Italy to the trademarked uniqueness of Austin. True to its Austin roots, Juliet offers live music on its patios ranging from a weekly jazz series to DJs spinning vinyl. The restaurant also strives to partner with local brands and organizations to host uniquely Austin events, continuing to support the local community.
