Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden

The Overlook: The Overlook at our Elephant Trek habitat offers unparalleled views of a herd of Asian elephants in both their indoor and expansive outdoor habitats! Whether it’s a wedding, corporate event, or any special occasion, The Overlook provides a backdrop that will make your event memorable. They say an elephant never forgets; so too will this venue ensure an experience that your guests will never forget. 

Africa Deck & Patio: This spectacular venue features a rustic, covered deck with a lower-level stone patio area and fire-pit. Hosting a cocktail reception or dinner party overlooking the Africa Savannah habitat will be talked about for years. 

Giraffe Ridge: Stand eye-to-eye with the world’s tallest animal on the beautiful outdoor deck, as you host your next cocktail hour or evening event. Take your event to the next level by adding a giraffe feeding from the deck. 

African Lion: The lions will capture your guests’ attention as they play and pounce! Enjoy your evening outing and snap a selfie as the lions snooze against the glass just inches from guests. 

Hops Beer Garden: Enjoy local craft beer at our Beer Garden featuring a covered deck. This Australian-themed venue overlooks Roo Valley, the Kangaroo Walkabout, and our aerial adventure course, Kanga Klimb. 

Hippo Cove: Gather your group near this covered area at the home of our world-famous hippo, Fiona, and the rest of the hippo bloat – Fritz, Bibi, and Tucker, Enjoy a cocktail hour or dinner while the hippos splash in the pool. 

Twiga: Our tented, African campsite provides a rustic, casual setting for a great evening gathering with co-workers and friends. Enjoy beverages and appetizers around the stone fire-pit or while viewing the giraffes in their yard. 

Gorilla World: Enjoy the beauty and serenity of the outdoor jungle where troops of gorillas will amaze you or enjoy the intimate indoor viewing with floor-to-ceiling glass. 

Manatee Springs: Relax and enjoy the serenity of the underwater world. This indoor aquatic area welcomes guests with manatees and a variety of sea life. 

Clubhouse: The Clubhouse sits next to the Africa Penguin Point habitat. With its large windows, high ceiling, and curved ribs of exposed wooden structure, the architectural theme of the whale takes shape. 

The Grove: Kick back on the brick patio at The Grove and enjoy a one-of-a-kind dining experience. Guests can grab a bite under the bistro lights at one of our food trucks. 

Frisch’s Theater: With its bright and inviting atmosphere, this is a great venue for your company’s next outing, seminar, or evening celebration. This space provides a built-in stage and expansive lobby. 

Picnic Shelters: Four new shelters seat 200 guests each, with the ability to be combined for large gatherings. An overlook deck gives a commanding view of Elephant Trek and our Asian Garden. 

Treetops (Half/Full): This flexible space is in the heart of the Africa Habitat. Just outside, you’ll see flamingo or cheetahs and hear the roar of the lions in the distance. This room can be rented in full for larger groups or half for a smaller group. 

Wings of Wonder: This spacious outdoor theater, where birds often take flight, can be transformed into an ideal conference space or even a unique wedding ceremony venue. 

Discovery Forest: Take your guests to the setting of a tropical Latin American rainforest, complete with neo-tropical plants and wildlife. Discovery Forest is also home to the two-toed sloth. 

Africa Adventure Buyout: Give your group private access in the evening to our Africa habitat, which includes our Giraffes, Lions, Painted Dogs, Hippos, and Savannah animals. This premiere experience will include a variety of animal keeper chats and animal encounters, making the event memorable for your group. 

Full Park Rental: Give your group private access in the evening to watch their favorite animals without the typical public crowds! Animal habitats are open until dusk, with indoor & outdoor animal habitats based on availability and season.
