Ikos is the ancient Greek word that in a simple definition means “family” or “household”. But the true meaning of the word runs much deeper. It encapsulates the feeling of home, community, and connection. At Ikos, we want to provide those warm and welcoming feelings that are synonymous with Greek hospitality to the Jersey City community. We want our guests to feel at home at Ikos and become part of our Ikos.

We are looking to be the one stop shop for the neighborhood and beyond. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing lunch, a romantic dinner, or to jump on the new wave of “vibe dining” (a later reservation full of great food, dancing, and a DJ), we have something for everyone. 

Friday and  Saturday, the night doesn't end with dinner — it begins. Starting at 8 PM, our live DJ sets the tone with sultry beats that pulse through the room at the perfect dinner volume. Then, at 10:30, the transformation begins. The lights drop, the music turns up, and the energy shifts. What starts as a meal becomes a mood. Dancing is encouraged, glasses are raised, and the feeling is that of a celebration under the Mediterranean stars. Come for the food, stay for the experience.

We are approaching this journey with intention for growth but at this moment our focus and excitement is for this opening. We can’t wait to be part of Jersey City’s restaurant scene. We have worked to craft an unforgettable experience with every detail carefully curated to reflect elegance, energy, and a sense of discovery.
