Its literal translation is “being or becoming human,” and speaks to the idea that we are rooted in the consciousness of our birthplace and we constantly transform from the point of birth.Alnoba is built in harmony with the earth and sheltered by towering Hemlocks and American beech trees. It is a beautiful, environmentally responsible refuge where people and organizations can step out of their hectic lives, refresh their spirit, expand their minds and deeply reconnect to their values. It is a place from which you return home transformed—energized and empowered to create positive change in your life, your company and the world.Entering through the main doors you find yourself in a spacious gallery with vaulted ceilings, bathed in natural light. To your left is a 2,400-square-foot meeting room with a dramatic central fireplace where groups can gather around to share ideas, stories and observations. Relaxing fireside, people’s defenses begin to melt away, conversations deepen and real connections are made. The building also includes options for breakout space, an intimate dining room serving farm to table, a yoga and meditation studio and a state-of-the-art media room.1848 BarnWe are currently in the process of renovating a New England barn from 1848. Once finished, the barn will be a rustic, but beautiful venue for weddings, meetings or gatherings.The Barn is being resurrected on the shores of Charward Pond at Alnoba. Originally built in 1848 in Greenland, New Hampshire, the barn was part of a family dairy farm. The undercarriage was set up for livestock and the 1st floor could be categorized as a dairy. It was built by two brothers and the original footprint was 36’ wide by 42’ long. We did not want to see this wonderful old barn destroyed so we dismantled, restored and repaired it and added 30? extension.Take It OutsideAt Alnoba you have 400 acres of woods, lawns and small ponds that provide endless opportunities for outdoor weddings and receptions, company meetings and special celebrations. Our big top field is perfect for large tent set-up. The area is surrounded by trees for a very private experience. We work with Seacoast Tent Rental, who offer excellent service and a huge selection of tents.No other venue offers you so much opportunity for outdoor activities. Enjoy outdoor seating areas, fire pits, walking paths, sculptures, benches, a professional high ropes course and an adventure aerial park. Whether it is a rehearsal dinner under the stars with drinks by a roaring fire or team building on the high ropes and a BBQ by the pond to celebrate, the possibilities are endless.
