The Lavery

The Lavery – a  restaurant, café and elegant events spaces – on South Kensington’s Cromwell Place.

The Lavery takes its name and inspiration from its history as the former home and studio of Sir John Lavery (1856–1941), the renowned Anglo-Irish painter. The building once witnessed Sir John’s extensive portraiture, including works featuring his wife, the distinguished Lady Hazel Lavery, who hosted many gatherings here. Housed within a collection of Grade II-listed Georgian townhouses, the building housing The Lavery has been meticulously restored to its former grandeur.

Set across beautifully modernised heritage spaces and sleek contemporary studios, Events at The Lavery offers the freedom and flexibility to host all occasions, from intimate gatherings and larger-scale product launches. With in-house catering provided by The Lavery restaurant and a dedicated team under the leadership of Senior Events Manager Nick Bishop, the venue has already attracted high-profile clients, including Net-a-Porter, Patek Philippe, Lancaster, Versace, Dom Pérignon (LVMH) or Van Cleef & Arpels.
