ISM Brewing & Kitchen

ISM Brewing & Kitchen is an award-winning, modern brewpub located on the Promenade in the heart of Downtown Long Beach. Opened in December 2023 by Ian McCall (formerly of Riip Beer Co. and Beachwood Brewing), ISM was built with the Long Beach community in mind—an inclusive, welcoming, and lively gathering place for groups of all kinds.

Our kitchen, led by Chef Robert “Bobby” Gill, delivers elevated, scratch-made takes on American pub favorites with a focus on bold flavors and shareable plates that shine in a group setting. Crowd favorites like the Romaine Calm caesar salad, Olympian Loaded Fries, and our signature Plastered Poultry, beer can chicken, are ideal for buffet-style service, alongside our wide variety of delectable wing options that can be customized to suit any crowd. We also offer interactive, build-your-own experiences—such as burger bars and other customizable stations—perfect for creating a fun and personalized event menu.

Behind the bar, Head Brewer Gene Wagoner crafts world-class ales and lagers, earning ISM early international recognition with multiple World Beer Cup medals. In addition to our award-winning beer, we offer a curated selection of wines on draft, along with ciders, seltzers, and non-alcoholic options to accommodate every guest.
