Lucky Mizu

Lucky Mizu is best suited for seated buyouts up to 50 guests. 

Located in the scenic area of Downtown Los Angeles, walking distance to Crypto Arena, join us for an ethereal restaurant serving a global mix of traditional hot pot cuisine and seiro mushi steamed entrees, the restaurant is helmed by chef Hisae Stuck, a native of Kobe, Japan, who worked for many years alongside legendary French chef Joël Robuchon. Lucky Mizu is centered around a U-shaped dining bar, its top clad in a stunning Blue Fusion marble whose blue and purple veining ripples across the surface and is reflected in the mirrored, birch-framed ceiling above. Guests seated at the bar have their own induction burner for making seiro mushi, steaming the world’s finest meat, wild-caught seafood, and fresh organic produce in bamboo boxes, or cooking them hot pot–style in fragrant broths.

Directly upon entering the restaurant, diners are greeted by a wall lined with 700 traditional “lucky cat” figurines in gold, green, and red, with individually painted cats, customized by a range of local artists, dotted amongst them. One wall is lined with booths under arched trellises strung with cherry blossoms; at each booth, a circular infinity mirror depicts thousands of butterflies. Above the bar, on a platform, musicians perform on a 40-foot Earth Harp that stretches diagonally from one corner of the room to the other — the creation of visionary musician and artist William Close — and on drums, giving the impression of dining in a music box.
