The Surf Shack Bed & Breakfast

The Surf Shack Bed & Breakfast, is a historic venue located in Narragansett Pier. Originally known as The Grinnell Inn, our quaint inn dates back to the early 1900s. As local tourism flourished, the inn expanded to include two additional boarding houses, becoming a popular destination for travelers, surfers, and beach lovers . The innalike's main building, once home to the renowned restaurant "Peppers", has now been beautifully renovated and transformed into The Kitchen @ The Shack. After passing through several owners, The Holmes family took over the property in late 2020 and have passionately restored it to its former glory. With six guest rooms, including a king suite, two queen rooms, two rooms with two queen beds each, and one room with a queen and a full bed.  The Surf Shack offers comfortable accommodations for all types of travelers. Each room has its own spacious bathroom with a shower and is equipped with modern amenities. Our surfers will be delighted with our convenient location, just a short 5-10 minute walk to Narragansett Town Beach. We also have a full-service restaurant and bar, serving dinner five nights a week, Thursday through Monday, as well as weekend brunch. Hotel guests can enjoy a complimentary breakfast in our dining room or have it delivered directly to their room upon request. For a relaxing and rejuvenating experience, we offer spa services such as massages and facials, available by appointment only. Our second-level back deck is a shared space for hotel guests to enjoy, offering beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere. In addition to our accommodations and services, The Surf Shack also serves as a fantastic venue for a variety of events. From weddings and baby showers to birthday parties and holiday gatherings, we can accommodate any special occasion. Our chef, MoMo Camara, trained at Johnson & Wales University and brings a unique fusion of French Polynesian and locally-sourced ingredients to our menu. His culinary creations perfectly complement our surf-centric atmosphere and will surely satisfy any palate.
