While Ipanema sells modern interpretations of classic dishes from Portugal and Brazil, the menu combines Portuguese recipes with the zest and vibrancy of Brazilian cuisine rooted in French cooking techniques. Our “cheerful and friendly spot tastes just like Brazil & Portugal” and feels like a home “inside-of-a-restaurant.”

A seasonal menu by Executive Chef Giancarlo Junyent offers sharing plates of fresh appetizers and mid-courses, with a lovely finale of roasted meats and cured seafood, followed by decadent desserts and wine.

The upstairs private loft overlooking 36th street has sexy floor-to-ceiling windows and is available for private reception parties of up to 50 for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres.
