Paris Cafe

Established in 1873, The Paris Cafe is one of New York City’s Oldest Pubs. Located in the Historic South Street Seaport District; a landmark in the federal registry of historic buildings and a landmark among pubs and restaurants everywhere. We’re steps away from the Brooklyn Bridge and across the street from the East River. Thomas Edison, Teddy Roosevelt, Lauren Bacall & Butch Cassidy were all guests of this historic establishment and considered one of the most historic buildings in Manhattan.

Our magnificent 1873 German Victorian bar has been restored; a beautifully hand-carved wooden bar framed with mirrors. Stop in to enjoy our happy hour specials, a wide range of beers with a creative selection of craft beers that change seasonally or wines by the glass and by the bottle.

Dining tables in the front bar & lounge area provide a sense of comfort where our patrons dine and enjoy views of the Brooklyn Bridge where ships go by on the East River. Others take in one of the many sporting events on one of our Big Screen TVs.  As our locals say “There’s not bad seat in the house”

The back is our dining room which is filled with wood and leather booths where the walls are decorated with framed photographs from various eras throughout their history. The comfortable living room is ideal for having a full-course meal with family and friends.
