Wild Wood Weddings & Event Center

Soon to be, Spike & Jenny Henderson, owners of Wild Wood Weddings & Event Center, wereengaged to be married in September, 2019. They always knew they wanted to be married on their farm, west of Newkirk. Both have a love for the outdoors and knew their 80-acre farm would be the perfect gathering place for their Family & Friends to embark on their special day. Along with the help of their four daughters, Paige, Jentry, Hope & Chloe, the vision of a wedding venue began to come to life. They broke ground in January, 2020 and the venue hasblossomed from there. The venue overlooks 30 plus acres of their private lake and dock. The landscape itself will be a great place for photographers to capture the most amazing wedding pictures. The charming venue will be able to accommodate up to 200 guests. Your guests will enter through 10 foot oversized, rod iron decorative doors which lead into the ceremony hall. The cathedral ceilings will be the resting place for a unique chandelier. The white shiplap walls give the venue a rustic, yet clean and modern, look for any event and a breeze to decorate. The venue holds a two-story, rustic chic, bridal suite, separated from the one-level groom’s suite and theatre room by a grand staircase. For caterer’s, there will be a preparation room, which includes a warming station, fridge, sink, ice machine and prep area. The 5,200 square foot ceremony hall also includes a 1,200 square foot balcony which will overlook the stainedconcrete flooring and suites for additional guest seating. Numerous French doors open up to nearly 5,000 square foot of covered patio space overlooking the lake. The patio area will be a wonderful place to gather with friends and family wanting to seek the fresh air and enjoy the sunset and amazing view of the lake. An oversized, decorative outdoor fireplace will be a warming touch for fall and winter events. The outside bar and kitchen area will be a fantastic place to entertain your guests during your social event or special day. The venue has numerous indoor and outdoor ceremony options and is climate controlled for a comfortable experience regardless of the weather. The event center is not just for brides & grooms-- the venue will be a great place for office parties, family and class reunions or even that big birthday bash!
