With Echo & Rig Chef Sam Marvin has introduced a pioneering new concept transforming the long-held theories behind the steakhouse formula. “We want to breakdown all of the barriers associated with a traditional steakhouse,” explains Chef Marvin. “We have completely rethought the concept, as we provide an eclectic menu of urban grill-meets-traditional steakhouse in an open dining room complete with an exhibition kitchen, proprietary spices and rubs, a classic cocktail menu with new twists, the freshest seafood and the only restaurant with its own namesake butcher shop.” We put a unique nose-to-tail spin on the traditional steakhouse, allowing diners to indulge in the best cuts of meat for incredibly approachable prices.  A butcher before a steakhouse, we use every part of the animal making everything from custom cut steaks, creative sausages, headcheese, and bone broth. We care about every animal - how it lived, what it ate, and how it was cared for. Highlights from the menu include the ever-popular Bavette Steak, Skirt Steak, and Filet Tenderloin. The menu also includes a new category featuring the world’s best beef sourced from Tasmania where the grass-fed cattle exhibit a perfect balance of salinity due to the farms’ close proximity to the coast. Our 7,000 square foot space is located in the Downtown Commons Neighborhood (DOCO) in the lobby of The Sawyer Hotel. Situated on the bustling J Street corridor facing the Golden 1 Center main entrance. We have a versatile space: a private dining room with audio/visual capability, an outdoor patio, and an outdoor bar available for rent. Brass accents highlight leather booths and a specialty mix of wood and marble floors. Chic Carrara marble tables line the walls allowing guests to relax in luxury. Our central downtown Sacramento location makes it an accessible and practical space for every kind of event. We are less than a half mile away from the 7th and I County Center Light Rail Station and blocks away from numerous transit lines.
