Fox's Sherron Inn

Opened in 1946 by Hank and Betty Fox, Fox’s Sherron Inn is the establishment sort that not only embedded its dark threads into the fabric of Miami’s history, but has inspired a generation to carryon the lost values that make old-fashioned, hospitality special: family, friends, and stiff drinks.

Fox’s Sherron Inn began as a sandwich shop and liquor store along South Dixie Highway, all housed under one roof. In 1967, Eastern Airlines pilot George Andrews purchased the establishment as a long-time regular. For the next 40 years, Andrews nurtured a family culture that cemented Fox’s into the legendary culinary and community allure we share today.

From myths of Ray Liotta and Jimmy Johnson, to Thumb Bits and Prime Rib nights, to the jukebox, striped-awnings, names carved into walls, and whether the plane is taking off or landing… Fox’s has always been that secret hideaway, nestled in plain US1-view for all joys and escapes alike.

Though a brief closure has marked the rebirth, or as the South Miamians have labeled it, the “afterlife” of Fox’s, we are honored to take the torch of the titans before us in serving good food, good vibes, with good people for the beautiful city we love. The addition of an expanded Sherron Inn Liquors connects Fox’s Lounge to its original South Dixie Highway entrance, serving fine spirits, wine, and beer in a mid-century library setting.

Welcome back. Stay as long as you like... but don’t keep the door open too long, we don’t want to let the darkness out.

Sincerely, Lost Boy & Co.
