The building has survived through fires, floods, and even the Prohibition Era. Al Capone established domain over the premises, only relinquishing his grasp in 1931 during his fall from power. It was in 1957 that beer brewing activities ceased at the facility, taking on various guises of other industries until its restoration in 2014. Thornton Distilling Company refurbished the entire space as well as the equipment, bringing to life a new era of alcohol production.
