La Palma

For over a decade, creative duo Craig Harding and Alexandra Hutchison have called Toronto’s Trinity-Bellwoods neighbourhood home. The couple’s first restaurant, Campagnolo, quickly became known as one of the city’s top restaurants and found its way onto national Best Of lists. After a trip to California, Creative Director Alexandra noticed that Venice Beach and Trinity-Bellwoods shared a similar artistic spirit and home for artists, designers and creators.“If you’ve ever been to Bellwoods Park on a beautiful day you’ll notice it’s like the beach for the west end of Toronto,” she notes. “We call it Bellwoods Beach!”From this connection, and the idea of the fun and the familiar, La Palma was born. The design aesthetic and atmosphere of La Palma reflects VB’s art-centric vibe. It’s welcoming in its lively spiritedness and in its celebration of the neighbourhood.Harding’s food is Italian at heart but the menu at La Palma reflects a California sensibility and remains playful, reflecting dishes and ingredients from other Mediterranean cuisines and cultures. Whether you’re grabbing take-out for an impromptu picnic in the park, or enjoying the perfect cup of coffee over a morning meeting, La Palma has you covered.
