New England Air Museum

The New England Air Museum is a historic wedding venue in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, conveniently located near Bradley International Airport.

As the largest aviation museum in New England, the museum is committed to preserving, restoring, and presenting over 100 world class aircraft. Our collection tells the stories of the men and women who made history building and flying these aircraft.

Our three stunning hangars transform into the perfect backdrop for a progressive evening, with three separate spaces that provide distinctive settings for your ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner event.

Facilities and Capacity

The New England Air Museum has three heated and air-conditioned hangers, two mezzanines, two meeting rooms and an outdoor display area.

Military Hangar- Our largest hangar, featuring military aircraft. This hangar is most often used for dinner and dancing and can seat 250 people comfortably, with plenty of space for dancing.

Civilian Hangar- This hangar is most often used for cocktail hour, with a spacious mezzanine that looks over the entire hangar. This hangar is dedicated to unique, civilian aircraft.

B-29 Hangar- Make a statement with our B-29 Superfortress as an impressive backdrop for your ceremony. Guests can either sit alongside you as you say your vows, or can watch from our second mezzanine.

Bridal Suite- Our meeting rooms can be transformed into a bridal suite to get ready in, or as a private room for your bridal party to retreat to.

Tours and interactive activities are available to make your cocktail hour fun and exciting for guests of all ages. The New England Air Museum allows guests to get into the aircraft cockpits, creating unique photo opportunities for your guests. Other services include:

Catering

While The New England Air Museum does not have in-house catering, couples will receive access to our preferred catering list, featuring some of the top caterers in Connecticut. Caterers not on the list are still welcomed and can be discussed with your event planner.

A wheelchair-accessible parking area is available close to the museum entrance. Wheelchairs are also available for your guests.

The New England Air Museum is easy to reach for all your guests, no matter how they plan on getting here. Conveniently located just 10 minutes from Bradley International Airport and local train stations, we are also easily accessible by car from locations such as:

• Hartford, Connecticut (30 minutes)

History

The Connecticut Aeronautical Historical Society, the parent organization of The New England Air Museum, was founded in 1959. The museum’s original location along Route 75 was destroyed by a tornado in 1979. The Museum has been at its present location since 1981.
