James Beard Award-nominated Yardbird is all about modern American classics – dishes from diverse regions, dishes that exude a sense of place, dishes that have made people happy for decades. We elevate the American bounty with the best of today’s techniques and an obsession with sourcing the absolute finest local ingredients. We also love us some bourbon, so there’s plenty of it – as well as other American whiskeys and well- crafted cocktails – at the bar. The brainchild of 50 Eggs Hospitality Group’s founder John Kunkel, Yardbird first opened its doors in 2011 on South Beach and now has eight outposts, including Miami, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., Dallas, Chicago, Denver and Singapore.


Yardbird Denver is composed of three, interconnected warehouses surrounded by a sprawling patio, and offers an array of F&B experiences. Rockwell Group has maintained many of the iconic Yardbird design features found in the Dallas, Washington D.C. and Chicago locations, while adding new programming elements such as an underground speakeasy and outdoor lounge to suit its newest city.

The restaurant’s design draws heavily on the unique character of the historic warehouse buildings, highlighting original 19th century ceiling beams, columns, and brick to create a contemporary industrial farmhouse atmosphere. The design concept and dining experience represent an experiential progression through a rustic and modern Southern home, taking guests through layers of experience and materiality from the “front porch” to the “living room.” Hand-painted graphics, antique mirrors, architectural lighting, rich finishes, and industrial elements create an elevated yet festive atmosphere evocative of a rustic soul food aesthetic and Southern residential hospitality, while bringing in the vibrancy of the surrounding RiNo neighborhood.
